Our commitment
We work to make the Xcelerate Innovation website perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. Our technical target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
Current status
This website has not been formally certified as fully conformant. We have applied accessibility improvements and review the site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, but additional testing and remediation may still identify barriers.
Measures implemented
Structure and navigation
- Semantic page regions, headings, lists, links, and form controls
- A skip link that moves keyboard focus to the main content
- Keyboard-operable navigation with visible focus indicators
- Responsive reflow intended to support browser zoom and narrow viewports
Presentation and interaction
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- High-contrast text and controls on dark backgrounds
- Reduced-motion support for visitors who request it
- Explicit form labels, required-field identification, text error messages, and announced status updates
- Minimum interactive target sizing for primary controls and navigation links
Scope and compatibility
This statement applies to the public pages published under xcelerateinnovation.com that are controlled by Xcelerate Innovation.
The site is intended to work with current versions of major browsers, keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom, and commonly used screen-reader combinations. Results can vary by operating system, browser, assistive technology, and user settings.
Technologies used
Accessibility relies on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript interpreted by the visitor’s browser. The site also uses third-party form processing and Google reCAPTCHA for abuse prevention.
Known limitations
- Third-party services, including form processing and reCAPTCHA, may present accessibility behavior that Xcelerate Innovation does not fully control.
- Very old browsers or unsupported assistive-technology combinations may not receive the intended presentation or interaction behavior.
- Accessibility review is ongoing; newly added or revised content may require additional testing.
When a barrier is confirmed, we will evaluate the issue, prioritize remediation according to impact, and provide a reasonable alternative method of access where practicable.
Review approach
Accessibility review combines automated checks with manual inspection. Manual checks include keyboard navigation, focus order and visibility, responsive reflow, zoom behavior, form labels and errors, reduced-motion behavior, and selected screen-reader workflows.
Automated tools can identify many code-level issues, but they do not establish full WCAG conformance by themselves. Human review remains necessary.
